Road Trip, Jazz Band, Easter, and Youth Worship

Busy days for this family, thought we'd share some of the latest stuff.

Mom got to take a road trip with three awesome women to see Chris Tomlin in concert in the Portland area. If you ever get the chance to raise your hands and worship with Chris Tomlin, you definitely don't want to miss it! Dinner at Famous Daves was fun too.

The 8th Grade Jazz Band competed at a local Jazz festival recently and they did AWESOME! Considering that Highlands didn't even have a Jazz band when Cameron was a 6th grader speaks highly of Mr. Kelly, the director. The kids sounded great, we were so proud of them!

Easter time! We decorated the eggs on Easter Eve, just in time.

Check out Cameron's art piece :o)

Wesley's contribution to the art work.

The boys helped run the egg hunt at church on Easter morning. Setting out the eggs (or playing with them) and supervising the little kids was a blast.

There was a sweet visitor to our church egg hunt, a stray bunny hopped in. Actually, we are suspicious that she was dumped there because she was extremely friendly and tame, and didn't belong to any neighbors near the church. She found a new home with one of our scout families, who think they will name her Esther (get it? Esther Bunny?)

Today was Youth Sunday and both boys participated in the worship services. Cameron played guitar (even had a solo on God of This City by Bluetree), and Wesley was an usher. The kids shared their hearts, their music, and their talents with us today and it was a huge blessing.

My Mother's Day gift from Wesley, a homemade Lego tribute to Mom. Love my family, they treated me to PF Chang's for dinner, we went swimming at the court club, and otherwise took it easy. I am so blessed :o)
