It all started with preparations for Trunk-or-Treat at church. Will went to load the canoe and a gust of wind came up, knocking the canoe off the truck, and shearing off the driver's side mirror (which stayed attached by the electrical cable). What is a full-blooded male to do? Why, get the duct tape, of course! Michelle has declared that Will had better get this fixed before she has to ride in the truck on next summer's camping trips because she's not riding around in some sort of hick-mobile that's held together with duct tape, bailing wire, and who knows what else...
The boys modeled their costumes before we headed out. Same characters as last year, but Cameron had an updated Link costume. Mom is congratulating herself on making Wesley's costume big enough that he could wear it for two years. Last year the legs were about three inches too long, this year they barely fit!
Our trunk was "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" from the Veggie Tales "Jonah" movie. Doesn't Pa Grape (a.k.a. Will Nichols) look great in his hat???
Cameron used his hat to hold his candy...
Pa Grape and his faithful black sidekicks :) The dogs love this event, two hours of meeting and greeting kids, being fed dog cookies for good behavior, and having kids sneak them a piece of candy or two.
It's Luigi in stereo!
The whole Pirate family. We hope you had a great Halloween too!
