Band Concert and Halloween Party

Getting busy again :) Thursday night was the first band concert of the year, and WOW it was awesome! Huge kudos to Mr. Kelly, who has not only two outstanding bands, but he started a Highlands choir this fall and they did a terrific job.

Wesley enjoyed being in the audience, particularly after he discovered his friend, Nik, nearby.

Our resident saxophone player relaxing before the performance.

Check out a short snip of Cameron's band. He is toward the right, second row, mostly hidden by music stands :)

We broke new ground last night and hosted our first middle school party. It was a huge success, and Cameron and his friends had an awesome time (according to them!). We went through 4 large pizzas, 2 bags of chips, a dozen sodas, two pies, and some sparkling cider. The kids did nerf battles, played Wii games, and watched Veggie Tales (completely their idea!). We are so pleased that Cameron has chosen such a great group of friends - they are fun, energetic, polite, friendly, and a real pleasure to be around.

The kittens showed off for everyone, Mom didn't realize that they will jump three feet in the air to try and catch their feather toy. In this picture Zoey looks like she is on the ground, but really she is in mid-air, nearly above Wesley's head!
