Wow! Wallowa Lake!

We just arrived home from a fantastic week at beautiful Wallowa Lake. The weather was awesome (even the huge thunder storm), the fishing was pretty hot, and the relaxation was heavenly. Take a look at what we did!

Cameron studies the pollywogs he captured from the lake edge. There were hundreds of thousands of them in the lake...

Fishing early on. The weather was cooler the first few days, then up in the 80s the last few.

Cameron's catch!

Cameron and Dad went on a 2 hour horseback ride up into the high country.

The boys made an impromptu dessert pizza for us :) It consisted of crushed graham crackers drizzled with chocolate syrup (the crust), melted marshmallows (the cheese), gummy sharks (anchovies), and open-faced mint oreos (pepperoni). It tasted pretty good!

Angus and his hunting buddy, Gauge, REALLY enjoyed the swimming time every morning.  They were bumper-crazy!

Wesley's catch!

Lunch with Nanni and Bubba at the top of Mt. Howard after the tram ride.

Wesley feeding chipmunks on Mt. Howard.

Cameron feeding squirrels on Mt. Howard.

Bubba and Cameron point out Cameron's hole-in-one during mini-golf.

Dad, Cam, and Nanni playing mini-golf.

Bumper Boats are always popular.

There is a new big chair on one of the street corners across from Russell's. It was cool!

Angus and Gauge enjoy bed-time late one afternoon during the thunder storm :)

Nanni and Wesley at The Embers Brew Pub in Joseph.

Cam and Nanni are best buds.

Bubba and the boys ham it up.

Mom and her boys outside Russell's.

We had such a great vacation, we all didn't want to leave. God has richly blessed us with a beautiful vacation spot, a trailer to enjoy it in (while keeping dry!), and family to spend time with. Until next year...
