Pinewood Derby and Catch Up

Mom's been bad about keeping things up on the blog, but heck, there hasn't been that much going on that is photo-rific :) Cameron did go hunting with Dad on the last viable duck day of the year.

Our hunter in his garb. Cool, huh?

Hanging out on the beach with Angus.

Boat rides are always exciting!

Check out Cameron's plant cell that he made :) It includes green and yellow jellybeans, red hots, candy sprinkles stuck to tape, a baggie of blue water, and more. Everything floated in corn syrup.  He can tell you all the official plant parts that they represent...

And we were off to the Pinewood Derby today. Check out Cameron's cool Jeep with it's bullets in the back.

Wesley decided to make a pencil car this year. It turned out way cool.

Wesley and his buddy Jaxon had a great time racing their cars.  This is Jaxon's first year in Scouts and he loves it!

Cameron and Sheldon came too, even though they are Boy Scouts now.  Cameron made his Jeep to race in the siblings/parents race that we have each year.

A close up of the Jeep.  Headlights and everything!

Cameron challenged Mrs. Comstock to a race, bravely noting (egged on by Dad!) that pink cars don't race very fast.  Hah!  Mrs. Comstock won every race with her pink car, even against the Jeep!

The Den 5 racers in their nice pose.

The crazy Den 5 racers being weird!  We had a great time at the Derby, can't wait for next year!
