Do you know how difficult it is to write with soft frosting on a vertical surface???
Game number 1 (all games courtesy of Dad): drop the LEGOs in the jar. We played this game at Mom's birthday parties when she was a kid, only it was drop a clothes pin (what are those??) in a mayonnaise jar from the back of a chair!
Game number 2: LEGO bingo using bricks as markers.
Game number 3: build a racer from "kits" of LEGOs that Wesley put together.
The results of game 3. Wesley was the judge and chose the coolest car.
Game 4: Gift exchange. Instead of everyone bringing gifts for Wesley, we asked everyone to bring a small (less than $15) LEGO set and we did a white elephant type of gift exchange. Everyone took home a LEGO, but different from the one they brought. They thought it was great!
Mmm, Happy Birthday song and cake time :)
Racing the cars that they built in the third game. Wesley had a great time at his last big birthday party. Our tradition is to have big parties until you are 10, then switch to a smaller affair (a few friends for a sleepover or movie). We all had an awesome time, and we are so blessed to have Wesley in our lives!
