Family Camp Fun

We just returned from a great weekend at Camp Wooten with our First Pres family - All Church Camp, 2010! An awesome weekend full of friends, worship, fun, and making connections.

Cameron listening closely to directions for the scavenger hunt opening game.

There was a serious amount of fishing going on this year, Wesley would have lived at the lake and river if we'd let him. He did go fishing with friends Aidan and Brayden, and was there when Aidan caught his fish, which he gracefully cleaned (first time!).

Dad taught Cam and his friend, Josh, the Boy Scout Fly Fishing Merit Badge during the weekend. How handy to have a dining hall for fly tying, a big grassy lawn for practice casting, and a small lake for actual fishing!

Heh, heh, heh, Jeanne taught Mom to play two-handed pinochle. Woo hoo! Now she can bore Will with a game whenever possible :)

Wesley (and Mom) spent lots of time working on puzzles with a rotating gang of puzzle groupies. It was awesome!

Cam and friends did some skits during campfire time. It was so cold up there that Mom and Wes opted to spend the second campfire night at the dining hall playing a bunch of rousing games with other cold game fanatics.

Pastor Kriss invited all the kids to lay hands on her and pray for her teaching/sermon during Sunday worship. It was so cool!

And Mom had another chance to serve communion, this time in God's amazing outdoors. Wow :)
