Our project was building raised garden beds at a new community garden in Richland. We put together the bed boxes and filled with with soil.
It was extra fun because we worked with our friends the Bottinos and the Goodwins. Wesley and Aaron took a break while Kriss worked on a sermon and memorial service and Elizabeth gave advice :) We worked alongside folks from Central United Protestant church in Richland (the same place the boys went to daycare when they were little).
We moved YARDS of soil. Every time we filled a wheelbarrow, another one took its place!
Kriss used down time to get some work done. We had a memorial service for a well-loved sister in Christ that afternoon, and Kriss had to finish preparations for the service.
All of the boys worked on digging massive holes in the dirt piles. Aaron and Aidan display their handiwork.
Surprisingly, the only thing sore the next morning were my wrists from turning the shovel thousands of times! If you live in the Tri Cities area, consider joining us next year. It was awesome!
