Wow, we went to Cameron's band concert on Thursday and were blown away by the jazz band that he is a member of. Check out their version of Sentimental Journey below. Now remember, jazz band is held during their optional enrichment period at school, thus every band member isn't able to be there every practice day, and they practice 2-3 single 45 min. class periods per week. These are 7th and 8th graders.
We were so proud! You can't make out individual band members very easily, we were seated fairly far back in the auditorium, but towards the end of the video you can see the saxophones in the front row stand up for a soli, and Cameron is on the far left. He also had a solo during another song, but I had the camera on still shot instead of video, so I missed it :(
