You know it's Fall when...

...the dogs become focused on hunting, and the male humans in our house do too :) Will and Cameron got one day of upland hunting in on Sunday, after we went to Pendleton on Saturday for his great-aunt Dorothy's funeral. As you can see below, the dogs had a great time, and the humans did too. Unfortunately Will came home with the flu, most likely H1N1 but we haven't been to the doctor to confirm it since he is now slowly on the mend.

Cameron loved this trip because they also spent some time letting him shoot his very own gun, which he's had for almost two years without firing it :)

Will and his black side kicks. Gauge doesn't upland hunt as much as he does waterfowl work, but he loved it! You can't even tell that Will felt like chopped liver from the flu!

Gauge retrieved Will's only bird of the weekend. Angus had put the bird up, and Gauge was close to where it came down.

Now every time the dogs see Will messing with the truck in the driveway, they stand at the front window and whine because they think he's loading up to go hunting. Little do they know he is loading Scout popcorn so we can finish the Boy Scout/Cub Scout popcorn sale!
