Cool Boy Scout Camping

Boy Scout camp was cool this year for many reasons, but namely because it was located at Camp Meriweather on the Oregon Coast. Much cooler than Kennewick!

It started off with a highlight for Cameron - lunch at the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Mmmm, grilled cheese made with fresh Tillamook medium cheddar. And don't forget ice cream cones for desert!

The whole of Troop 148. Last year four boys went to camp, this year it was 20!

Beachcombing and tidepooling were awesome. Cameron took the Oceanography merit badge.

Cameron also tackled the basketry merit badge. He made two small baskets.

And he made a cool foot stool! He really enjoyed this merit badge :)

Check out Cameron and Sheldon's tent. Nice and neat for pre-teen boys!

Well, I guess not all pre-teen boys are neat. Mom is so proud that this was NOT Cameron's tent! So proud! And thankful. Very thankful.

Cameron and his buddy Sheldon had all of the same merit badge classes, so they hung out together a lot.

Beach time! The weather was beautiful most of the week.

Mom just thought this was a good pic of Cameron, so she stuck it in here. Goofy.

Campfire bowl. As you can see, everyone had a magnificent week. They can't wait to go to Camp Baldwin next year!
