Mmmm, cheesecorn for dessert after a great dinner at the Rogue Brewery.
Woo hoo, digging in the sand! You can't see the parents huddling behind the camera, chilled by the wind :)
The boys found a real live sea star hanging out in a shallow pool on the beach. We enjoyed checking it out, very carefully.
Dad took Cameron, Sara, and Megan to the tidepools at Devil's Punch Bowl early one morning (Mom and Wesley slept in). They found all kinds of interesting things!
Sand Boy Cameron! Ta da!
We had to get a picture of the boys with Zoltar, made famous in the movie, "Big" with Tom Hanks. Now we need to rent the movie...
Silly cousins Wesley and Megan were being goofy while we watched the sea lions resting on the docks in Newport.
Sara, Wesley, and Megan digging in the sand. I think Cameron was off with Dad at Ripley's Believe it or Not in Newport that day.
Wesley and Megan's masterpiece sand castle, one of a chain of them that we dug along the creek.
Cameron's creation along the creek.
The monsters stomp the masterpieces!
The masterpieces after the monsters were done with them :)
The Oregon Coast Aquarium is so awesome, this year the special exhibit was Oddwater, animals that are amazingly weird. They combined the animals with beautiful hand blown glass creations in the tanks. It was so cool. The aquarium is Cameron's favorite place on earth...
Cameron outside the Aquarium munching his ice cream :)
Wesley and Bubba enjoyed the outside exhibits at the Aquarium.
Cameron and Nanni taking a break.
Silly Calvin and Hobbes faces!
Mom and Wesley really enjoyed the shark tank tube. It is so awesome to walk through and see sharks swimming all around you.
Megan and Wesley liked the turtle (he was from an exhibit a couple of years ago).
Aaaaah, don't let the giant shark teeth get Wesley, Megan and Cameron!
We all helped Sara decorate a shirt that will be part of her costume at church camp this next week.
Didn't Mom catch a great sunset on our last night? We sure hated to go home, we grumbled all the way back to Washington. Aaah, next summer can't come too fast for us!
Lap Dog #1: Homer, new dog for the Cornell family. His favorite thing all week was to pick a lap, grab his blanket, fall asleep, and snore. Loudly. Snortily. It was very cute!
Lap Dog #2: Angus. Because he hates to be left out of ANYTHING.
We are so blessed to live near such a beautiful place, and to have the time and gas money :) to travel here. We thank God for our annual trek to such an amazing location.
