Woo hoo, we've been busy these days :) The fun began with the Cub Scout Raingutter Regatta on July 7, the day after we got home from Wallowa Lake. Almost 30 scouts and their parents gathered at the park for an evening of racing boats and dining on ice cream sundaes.

Cameron came along in his role as Den Chief. He helped some of the younger kids.

Wesley in his first race. He did great!

Silly racer :)

Friends having fun!

Earlier that day, Cameron and Wesley had been invited to Jaxon's birthday party. It was very popular, a swim party that included silly string :) Jaxon is holding the homemade card the boys put together, it included a mouth that dispensed $5, and eyes that gave out quarters!

On Thursday Dad and Wesley headed out to Cub Scout Resident Camp. This was a first for them, in the past it's been Dad and Cameron or all three of them, but never just Dad and Wes. Needless to say, they had a WONDERFUL time :)

Tent time. This is the same camp where everyone was eaten alive by mosquitos last year. Dad was prepared this year though, he brought a tent that zipped (instead of the camp-furnished canvas wall tents), and plenty of DEET.

Mmmm, Wes loves camp food. He also loved his new Tikka head lamp that arrived in the camp mail on his first day (thank you Dad).

Building bug hotels at camp. Wesley's included grass and flowers (drawn with markers) and a pinecone plug on the entrance hole.

Mmmm, nothing better than fishing.

A pretty great fisherman if you ask me!

The camp buddies together. They had so much fun!

Dad taught Whittlin' Chip and he didn't plan on it being so popular! Mom bought him 6 bars of Ivory soap (good for learning to carve with a pocket knife), and he had to dice them up so more than 20 kids could participate! They decided there were enough soap shavings on the ground to make bubbles for weeks when it rains :)
