Arbor Day Fun

It was the Cub Scout Service Project at the city pool tonight. We planted trees in honor of Arbor Day and Earth Day. We had a great crowd, about 2/3 of the kids showed up with parents in tow. We dug holes, set the trees, filled in the dirt, and watered them down. The local news team came out and did a live intro for the 6 pm news, and a story about the kids will be on the 11:00 news tonight.

That's Cameron's bum in the picture, getting dirty in the dirt...

Cameron is showing the world his leadership skills, he is now a Den Chief for the Tiger Cub den (1st graders) in our Pack. Tonight he was awarded his Den Chief Cords which he gets to wear on his uniform. He had a great teacher, our friend Nathan was Cameron's Den Chief a couple of years ago.

Wesley got in on the raking.

Ooooh, sanctioned dirt playing :)
