Wow, we just returned from a FANTASTIC trip to Seattle over the weekend. We saw lots of things, ate some seafood, checked out the famous attractions, and enjoyed the pool at our hotel each evening. Cameron had last visited Seattle when he was about 18 months old, and Wesley had never been there. We really enjoyed our time, and can't wait to go back another time and see the things we missed.

We left Saturday morning and arrived in town in the early afternoon. We started our adventures right away, by going to the Pacific Science Center. The boys loved the fountain area.

There was a human-powered water wheel that required lots of muscle to move. The boys called it the "hamster wheel."

What a cool big table and chairs! Now we know what little kids feel like!

We had the good fortune to be at the Science Center on the first day of a brand new exhibit on dinosaurs. They had lots of 1/2 size models that moved, they were very realistic! The boys enjoyed the dino footprint.

Mom and Wesley made an attempt at a self-photo, while resting on a bench at the dinosaur exhibit.

Neat whale tale outside the Pacific Science Center.

Wesley thinks hotel rooms are VERY amazing, he enjoys lounging around on the beds and watching TV. He and Lincoln Bear tried out the bed on our first evening.

The next morning it was off to the Seattle Aquarium. Cameron has excellent radar, and can find an aquarium ANYWHERE, within minutes. We are happy to report that while the Seattle Aquarium is excellent, we think the Oregon Coast Aquarium is even better! However, this Orca fin can only be found at the Seattle Aquarium :)

Wesley really enjoyed all the "your face here" displays. In this one, he is imitating a jellyfish.

Cameron has officially entered the "I don't want my picture taken" stage :( The aquarium had a nice boardwalk where you could view some of the live animals.

Our next stop was Pike Place market. We hung out at the fish market, and had the experience of watching the guys toss the huge salmon!

This morning it was off to the mecca of all outdoor stores, the REI flagship store downtown. The boys weren't prepared for how big it is, and how much the grounds make you feel like your in the middle of the forest when you are really in the middle of the city. The glass elevator was very cool!
