Family of 5 at the Pinewood Derby

We are a family of 5, at least for a few days. Emma came to stay while her Mom and Dad have a great long weekend in New York City! They called today from "Little Italy" and we were a bit jealous that they're living it up in the big city while we are out here in the hinterlands :)

Emma's surrogate "big brothers" are getting into the act. She thinks they are pretty fun!

Today was Pinewood Derby day, and both of the Nichols brothers had a great day of racing. Not only was Wesley's trout car the most talked about vehicle at the entire race, it was fast too! However, Cameron's was even faster, advancing to the final race-off of the fastest cars from each of the seven dens. It didn't win the grand prize, but it was very close. We had a really fun time, and Emma got into the event by cheering from her stroller. She loved the excitement, and was the center of attention from lots of adoring fans.
