Wolf Scout and other Fun Things

It's been a busy two weeks or so at the Nichols house. Most importantly, Wesley achieved the rank of Wolf Scout and was awarded his Wolf Badge at last night's Pack Meeting. We are very proud of our new Wolf, he worked hard to do all 12 achievements required to earn his rank. How nice that Mom gets a Mother's Pin as part of the deal :)

It's haircut time for the Nichols' men. Saturday was Wesley's very FIRST professional haircut. Yes folks, Mom has been cutting his hair at home since he was little. He was very impressed with the Men Zone salon, which caters expressly to men, young and old :) His stylist, Michelle (how weird is that?) did a fantastic job!

Cameron relaxes for his favorite part of the cut, the shampoo! He's a pro at this by now...

Believe it or not, Wesley's hair DOES look different than when Mom cut it! The stylist smiled when I said he had cowlicks in his hair, I believe the response was, "Boy, does he EVER." Nontheless he looks very cool, and he now needs gel in his hair in the morning, just like Cameron :)

Check out the boys sitting at our new breakfast table. It was time to get rid of the "sacrificial kid table" that we had during the highchair/booster chair/fork-banging years, and pass it on to our friend Mark, who has three kids under 6 years of age. We found a very cool bistro-style table on sale and couldn't resist. The boys like the higher seating, and Mom likes a table that isn't full of scratches and dings :)

Cameron's first decorated cake - a farewell to our friend, Nathan Eacker, who moved to Virginia last week. Cameron baked the entire cake himself, frosted it, and did part of the decorations (Mom did the writing). Nathan has been the Den Chief in Cameron's Cub Scout den, and both boys were participants in Nathan's Eagle Court ceremony last year. We will miss our good friends the Eackers!
