Wesley hunting his eggs.
Cameron had to jump for this one!
Easter baskets! They included peeps, a book, a PEZ dispenser, a chocolate bunny, some misc bunny candies, and a Pokemon card pack.
The big surprise, Pokemon DS games!
Yes, Satie crawled in there by herself. She was an absolute booger this morning, we had to put the baskets away right after opening them because Satie was dragging out all the Easter grass!
Then we were off to church for the 8:30 worship service, then on to helping at the Easter breakfast. Cameron flipped pancakes with Big Jim.
Wesley donned his chef hat and flipped too!
Dad and Mr. Wakeman did the dishes (no pix of Mom because she was the official photographer).
Wesley took an occasional break.
Cameron created a Charlie Brown Easter dinner similar to his Thanksgiving one. Popcorn, Ritz crackers (we were out of pretzels), toast with butter, and jellybeans :)
We've had a traumatic weekend. It started Friday night with Cameron going in his room to get ready for bed and yelling, "All my fish are dead!" And he was nearly right! All four of the cichlids died and the catfish and plecostimus (sp?) were nearly dead. We'd had the PUD change out our power meter the other day, and they had to interrupt power for a few seconds. Long enough to knock out the tank pump, and we didn't think about it. So mom and Cameron spent hours on Saturday at pet stores researching what he likes and how big they grow so he can decide what kinds of new "friends" to get in a week or so when we've lowered the pH on the tank. Then this afternoon Cameron yelled, "My frog is dead!" And sure enough, somehow the door on the vivarium was left open and his red-eyed tree frog snuck out and died on the carpet (!). Sooooo, Dad's turn to take him to the pet store to find a new friend. And here he is, Tiger the tiger-leg frog. Whew. And the latest pet antic is Angus, who is now scared of the wood floor. Yes, it's true. The other day he came flying in the house with wet paws and slipped on the floor, so since then he's afraid to walk on it. The dumb thing is when he doesn't think about it everything is fine and he can walk on it, but when he thinks about it he tenses his legs, sticks out his claws, and makes himself slip! It's the dumbest thing but we decided to have some fun with it anyway :)
