Our Christmas eve night started off with a quiet soup dinner, then we watched "A Christmas Story" and Bloom County's "A Wish for Wings That Work" (a Nichols tradition). The boys set out snacks for Santa and Mrs. Claus too. Didn't they choose well? Cookies, eggnog for Mrs. Claus, and a beer for Santa :)
Christmas morning started off by reading the Christmas story from Luke 2. Cameron did the honors this year.
Then it was Santa present time and boy, did Santa have fun this year. Both boys got iPod Nano's that take video and play the radio too. Very cool.
Stocking time!
Gauge and Angus had a stocking too, it had liver treats, a pull rope, and a rawhide bone for each of them. Yummy!
To say that Sadie enjoyed Christmas would be a huge understatement. Basically she spent all morning playing chase and rolling in all the wrapping paper. She zipped around the room for hours and was very disappointed when we picked up the mess of shredded paper!
The debris, less Sadie.
Will was delighted with his collector's tin of The Three Stooges DVD's. Little did Michelle know when she bought the set, that the tin itself has a button to push and you get to hear several famous clips from the Stooges. Sheesh, how many times can you hear, "Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk" without screaming? And some people think this is funny ?!We had the best Christmas day, relaxing together, playing with new toys, enjoying a new tradition of grilled tri-tip steak for dinner, and spending time as a family. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas too.
