The $64,000 Question is, "What Were We Thinking?"

Yes, it's the week before Christmas, and yes, I have no floors. Fun. Seriously, did we fully consider the implications of this? Oh well, too late now! Check out the demolition :)

The kitchen minus tile. Thankfully the very nice rented tile remover machine accomplished the job in a single day. The concrete is in remarkably good shape!

Patching some serious cracks in the floor. This nice pink stuff should keep further cracks from forming.

We knew the cracks weren't tiny, that's why the tile itself was cracking. We just didn't know how many there'd be!

Look, the new floor is going in! Woo hoo! It's an Armstrong engineered wood with a 35 year warranty, so by the time it wears out we'll be in the retirement home!

Oh, and we've had snow and ice! Yesterday school had 2 hour delay, today they just gave up and cancelled it. The boys are really enjoying super sliding on their sleds down the driveway coated with 1-2 inches of ice. Sends 'em flying into the next block. Thankfully nobody can drive on this stuff anyway and the streets are quiet!
