Wallowa Lake is Awesome :)

We were off last week for our annual pilgrimage to Wallowa Lake, one of our favorite places on earth. The lake water level was really down this year, the second worst year in the 15 or so years we've been camping here. Swimming was kind of iffy, you had to tramp through 25 yards of sticky-sucky mud to get to the swim area, and fishing was pretty poor since the regular fish channels were dry, so we found other ways to amuse ourselves!

The most popular activity this trip was Go-Karts. We figured the Go-Kart days would come soon, and they did. We had a great time, even though the second time we went it started to rain and the track became pretty hazardous. The boys both loved driving by themselves!

Wesley celebrates his first time at the wheel.

Cameron, Wesley, Miku, and Kaitlyn watch the drivers.

The boys absolutely adored Miku, the daughter of Mom's Japanese "sister," Yuzuru. Miku and her mom and Dad, Jerrod, were visiting the States, and camped with us for a couple of days on their way to Idaho to visit Jerrod's family. Cameron was a particularly good babysitter for Miku, they spent hours at the playground and did lots of things together.

All of the "boys" set up a LAN and had a gaming party one night. Drew, Jon, and Joe ran the computers, and Cameron, Wesley, and Brandon watched and gave pointers.

Most of the gang (execpt Mom, Jean, Sharon, Sandy and Kaitlyn) went golfing in Enterprise. Cameron ended the game only one stroke behind Will!

Bumper Boats were popular again this year, no surprise there. One of the times we went, the boys were the only two kids on the water, and the guy running the place spared nothing on soaking them with the supersoaker! They were completely drenched when it was over.

Mini golf was a blast. All six of us played a round, and Bubba was the big winner.

The arcade was lots of fun, Cameron tried out the new motorcycle ride.

Mmmmm, pizza (and ice cream) after a rousing round of mini golf. Nanni enjoyed her time with her boys.
