Happy Easter!

He Is Risen! We celebrated this blessed day by starting out with an egg hunt at home. The Easter Bunny was generous, he stuffed the boy's eggs with quarters (and a little candy), and brought them Pokeman cards in their baskets. We then got dressed up and headed for the Easter Breakfast at church, where we dined on pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit and cereal. We had fun visiting with friends and enjoying the excellent food. We then headed into worship for an awesome service full of great praise songs and favorite Easter hymns.

After worship we tried a new and extremely fun family event called, "The Easter Path." Four rooms in our First Pres Center were set up with themes of Easter. In the first room we walked down a path of coats, then made a family palm branch showing things that we celebrate in our family. We celebrated Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. In the next room we ate grapes and soda crackers (served by the youngest member of the family, Wesley), then washed each other's hands to symbolize the Last Supper.

In the next room we sat on chairs surrounded by flowers and talked about prayer (Mom bugged out early to give the Children's Sermon in the 9:40 service). We talked about Jesus praying in the garden at Gethsemane. Then we went to another room that looked like a baseball diamond and wrote our sins on paper, wadded it up, and threw our sins away. We thanked Jesus for taking them from us! We then went into a room decorated like a tomb, and saw the words on the wall, "He is Risen!" and an angel (Cameron's guitar teacher, Larry) told us that Jesus wasn't there anymore! We ended up placing flowers on a big cross and taking home a cool Easter bookmark. It was a very cool event!

The rest of our day should be quiet, we're going to do some work in our garden and enjoy a sunny afternoon. We wish you a blessed Easter!

Michelle FORGOT to mention that Will celebrated Easter by taking down the Christmas lights.
