(Cameron and Wesley show off their Easter gifts from Nanni and Bubba, they both got aprons made by grandma, recipe books, cokie mix, and some marshmallow peeps chicks!)Happy Birthday to our Grandma, Nanni (a.k.a. Jean Raabe), we're glad we could celebrate with you! We just got home from a trip to Eugene, where we celebrated Nanni's 60th birthday and enjoyed lots of time with cousins Sara and Megan. We started by surprising Nanni, arriving in Eugene about two hours earlier than planned and walking in to the ice cream store where they were celebrating with dessert. Lots of well-timed phone calls with Aunt Debi helped us pull it off.
On Saturday we attended a big party with family and friends to celebrate Nanni's birthday. We saw lots of people we had not seen for a long time, and we enjoyed feeding the ducks at the pond outside the reception hall. Cameron brought his guitar and showed everyone how well he plays, and Megan got wet trying to retrieve Cameron's guitar pick that she accidentally threw in the duck pond :)
On Sunday we went to church, did a little shopping at the mall, then Bubba took everyone out for dinner. On Sunday night Sara and Megan came over and the kids had a great sleepover. Monday morning brought us an awesome french toast breakfast before we hit the road for the six hour drive home.
It rained A LOT when we were there (big surprise), but we had a wonderful weekend!

Wesley, Megan, Cameron and Sara get ready to say goodbye after their very fun sleepover.

Cameron tries out Uncle Dan's travel guitar, a most interesting and cool instrument!

Bubba and Wesley walk together and visit as we head to dinner on Sunday.
