Can you guess what Cameron is working on? Check out his spelling paragraph below, and you'll know the answer. You can also look below for a photo of the finished product...
Spelling Paragraph: "We have a special homework assignment to design and build a container to hold our Valentine cards. Each student’s mailbox needs to be in the shape of a particular hobby, favorite sport, animal, or collection. All supplies must be recycled from around the house and not specifically bought for this project. Each container must have an opening for the cards to be inserted and another one for them to be removed. Students are challenged to create a spectacular mailbox that will be unique, original, and creative."

Now you know the secret! He designed it himself. and he and Dad built it from scraps of wood left over from Pinewood Derby. A little hot glue, some spare golf balls (which are hard to find as Will tends to lose his on the links a lot!), and some craft foam makes a very cool wide-mouthed frog!

We spent some time today at the Lincoln book fair, which was held as a fundraiser at Barnes and Noble. The school got a portion of the proceeds from every Lincoln sale using a special voucher. What a great way to support the school. The boys enjoyed hearing their teachers (and in this picture, music teacher Mrs. Griffin) reading to the kids.
