A Big Night at Cub Scouts

Oooh it was a busy night at Cub Scouts on Tuesday. Michelle planned and carried out the Pack 148 Christmas party for more than 100 people! We had the snowball blow game, make your own Christmas card craft, and decorate your own cookies. At the last minute, Albertsons wasn't able to deliver the 200 sugar cookies we needed, so crazy Michelle ran to Winco and bought tons of Pillsbury cookie dough and did the slice-and-bake thing. Thank heavens for a convection oven that allows her to cook two sheets of cookies at a time!

All of the 46 boys in our Pack brought Christmas gifts to be donated to kids whose parents are voluntarily in rehab and trying to get their lives back on track. We filled six large gift bags with lots of great presents, and passed them on to the representative from Battelle who coordinates the gift program. She was very pleased with our effort, and we are very proud of the boys and their families who give so generously.

Our always outstanding Den Leader Mr. Nichols-Dad was presented with the Cub Scout Leader Award for being an outstanding Den Leader! We are very proud of Dad and all the awesome work he does with the Cub program.

A great time was had by all. The boys agreed that the party was "Rock On!" and they had a super time. Mom is just thankful that it is over for this year! God has blessed us with an awesome church that hosts an awesome program and reaches many kids who need what Scouting offers. We are honored to be part of this ministry!
